Well,it is commendible and accept my Congrats for this endevor of yours.Sir,the visit of Her Excellency has necessitated the trimming of TREES on the VIP Road.Fine,the manner in which the trees have been scrapped is pathetic.just see for yourself while passing opposite DAV College & Green Park.I am sure you shall also feel the same.Sensitivity seems to have lost in offical Babudam.The process could have been done aestically too,trimming trees in an organized manner.Don't mind these are my views.You have right to differ.

I am overwhelmed by the responses I have received from you. I thank you all on your greetings. The blog was conceived with the notion of getting ideas from you on what could be done to improve and better market Kanpur city. The reason being, that we get so bogged down by mundane things in life that sometimes we miss the bigger picture. Of course, the planners have a lot of things lined up for the city - a better water supply and sewerage system, housing colonies, better roads, garbage collection system, electricity sub-stations, transformers, conductors and the works. But, we wanted to have the citizen's opinion on the work that has been done and that needs to be done. Yours can just be a random idea, a bolt from the blue - but if you jump and say "Eureka" - thats good enough for us. Let your imagination go wild. Together we can make this city a better place to live in.

It is indeed sad that sometimes KDA, KNN and other authorities do not work in tandem towards achieving a common goal. KDA, indeed has a corpus of funds, but the way it can be utilised is governed by a set of rules that you and I have framed. Your concerns are genuine. We are working towards improving some of Kanpur roads. Probably, in a few days time, I would publish a list of roads that have already been repaired/constructed by KDA. Thanks.

Thanks for showing concern over the environmental issue. The trimming was necessary because of security concerns, as were a lot of other activities. However, things could have been done in a better way.

You did mention the roads in Shyam Nagar area. I had visited the area a few times. It is a well planned colony but the lack of roads make that place a non-entity. The good news is that Nagar Nigam has approved the re-construction of the main road of Shyam Nagar. We would also be developing the divider in between the roads as a green belt. Thanks.

metro train project, long awaited flyovers at jarib chowki, kalyanpur,govind nagar etc, super speciality hospital in front of IIT, parking
facilities in naveen mkt, mall road, kanpur court, 50 or so public toilets, mandhana-bhaunti bypass etc etc with investment of

In a recent survey carried out by an international agency, it was found that the traffic in Kanpur was slowest-below 20 km per hour during peak hours. Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi also have the slowest traffic during peak hours.
My question is what are the reasons behind Kanpur's traffic being so slow. After all, Mumbai and Delhi are metropolitan cities. Bangalore has gorwn and developed as the software capital of India. In comparison conditions in Kanpur have only deteriorated. Industries have closed. What steps should be taken to make the movement of traffic fast and smooth. I have talked to many people and they say that rickshaws and animal driven vehicles hamper the movement of traffic. If this is true, why do not you ban movement of rickshaws on the arterial roads of Kanpur.

The projects are all in the pipeline. They all have different gestation times. But all these projects are in different stages of being sanctioned. Some projects will be implemented within a year while others may take 3-4 years for completion. Hope that helps.

HERE IS another dubious distinction for Delhi: its peak-hour traffic crawl has been found the second worst in a countrywide survey at 15 kmph.
, But for Bangalore, it could have been the worst.
A large number of Delhiites got a taste of this crawl on Tuesday as they rolled off the Gurgaon Expressway and drove straight into a jam tailing off for miles from the Dhaula Kuan clover leaf.
"It was maddening,' fumed an office-goer who had spent a better part of the day negotiating the crawl. And he was worried about the journey back, through the returning peak-hour crawl.
Let's just call it The Great Delhi Crawl.
It has now been endorsed by a countrywide survey conducted on behalf of the urban development ministry by Wilbur Smith Associates.
Bangalore came out worst at 10 kmph peakhour traffic speed.
Mumbai, which looks like marching time mostly, came out looking better at 18 kmph, followed by Kolkata at 20 kmph and Chennai at 22 kmph. The survey covered 30 big cities and looked at morning and evening peak hours.
The crawl could be because of on-going construction of flyovers, metro and persisting BRT islands. But in large measure it is because of Delhi's compulsive obsession with status and antipathy for public transport.

But for people to switch to public transport system, the latter needs to be of a certain standard, which is not the case yet in Delhi.
Metro is the big hope, and people along the existing route are indeed switching.
And that's the way forward, say traffic experts.

I have been wanting to write about the RAilway crossing ( Allahabad crossing ) going from Tiwari sweets towards COD / Meerpur cantts.
Since I have my work in that area I have to cross the railway crossing everyday at least 3-4 times. You will not believe that 90-95% of times I have found the crossing closed.
The authorities are wasting hundreds of manhours of the public by closing the crossing much before the train arrives.
Sir, if you can check in the mornings between about 9a.m. to 10a.m. the trains are specially stopped at the crossing to facilitate the milkmen / daily passengers who get down there at the expense of the public who are watching helplessly .
It is not a one day problem , in fact it has become so routine that the rickshaw pullers park their rickshaws alongside the railway track in full knowledge that the trais will stop to facilitate the milkmen / daily commuters.
Is this correct on part of the railway authorities to so blatantly waste public time like this.
I hope you will see for yourself and solve the misery of the public who are mute sufferers ..

Your problem has been sent to the Nagar Nigam to look into the matter. The board of Nagar Nigam allots funds on various roads depending upon the funds they have at their disposal. It would be nice if you could approach the Municipal Commissioner or the Chief Engineer directly and apprise them of the situation.

I had applied for Arms License, my name is M K Gupta and presently posted as Garrison Engineer (I) R&D, DMSRDE Complex, G T Road, Kanpur (Through Engineering Services 1998 batch). My problem is that, despite of police verification for Kanpur way back in Feb-Mar 2008, the police verification of my home town (i.e. Chitrakut) has not been completed till date. Please issue instructions to police authorities for reminder to Chitrakut Police for early police verification so that i could get the license at the earliest as i am short of time as i have been posted out from Kanpur and an likely to move in Nov 2008. If you see history of KDA /KNN ,they had takenup Projects of low quality /huge margins -not any concrete work.why ?because of everybodies interest except general public.
Even no BROADENNING of roads could take place in 50 years ecept VIP road .Manyfold increased traffic in the city but new roads /overbridges .Small cities GHAZIABAD /AGRA /ALLAHABAD ,Development is far better in quality/quantity though engineers are same but forget their duties/skill in their paradise -KANPUR.
KNN is not sectoriesd like LUCKNOW WHY ?on whose interest !
so there is huge changes required for these agencies to cope up with the future .

I have a complain about the road of Rawatpur Gaoun from Namak Factory to Ramlala schools and other associated roads.It is in a very very bad condition even some of them are in first step of construction but it is still awaited by the public but there is nothing to here about the problem, which is impossible to walk in rainy season.If it can be made i would be thankful.

I want to point out certain ROADS which are in pitiable state and are supposed to be the PRIME one's.
1.In front of Kanpur Kotwali
2.Kanpur Courts to bara Chauraha (Both Side)
3.Meston Road (adjacent to Bharat Restaurent)
4.Naveen Market-approach Road from MG College side
These are few roads which need to be repaired before Diwali,atleast.
I also want to draw your attention towards the reckless Scooter/Car/Cycle stand In front of Courts ,either sides.I can vouch that you cannot even walk your way the manner in which vehicles are parked on both sides of the roads & on road ,itself.A little of effort shall make HUGE difference if YOUR good self intervenes.
I await your response,tell if I could be of ANY use to uplift the city.

The work is going on here despite of your orders- "not to demolish green parks for overhead tanks".

The main Brahmavat Ghat has the dirtiest Nallah falling into the Ganga only 15 feet upstream of the Ghat steps. Do look at it and consider whether the holy dip is going to work!
Most of the Ghats are in a pathetic state of neglect.

Next,the prestigious hotel throws all its consumable garbage on the road - Glasses,rotten food etal inviting bad odour+dogs.Pl.ensure that such rotten stuff is disposed off within the premisis of the Hotel instead thrown on the road.

As far as construction of the Guru Govind Singh Dwar is concerned, a decision in the matter has already been taken by Honorable High Court. The new dwar is being made on the site of the older one.
The revival package of Duncans is still to be approved by the Government. The same holds true for Elgin wherein there is dispute on the ownership rights of the land. The proposal of SEZ that was to come up on other side of the Ganga in Unnao district has stuck up in Land Acquisition cases. We are trying to keep a tab on all such cases.
Pollution in Ganga has reached high levels. Sewerage works are going on all over the city so that all domestic sewage is treated and does not flow directly into the Ganga. The project is likely to complete by 2010. As far as industrial and tannery waste goes, CETP has been constructed. Teams have also been formed at the district level to see that it functions properly. Needless to say, concerned citizens like you are also chipping in to make Ganga pollution free.

Show the people of kanpur the condition of ghat before and after the efforts taken by the authority with the help of pics in the newspaper. as a result of such blockage of naali by the said guest house all the waste & water is collected on the road and foot path of the lajpat nagar road.

though i wanted to meet u personally but i found this blogger a better way to convey my feelings.sir i have just completed my b.tech and was waiting for my new life as mba student in iit.on 22nd august my younger brother went to ganga bairaj for taking bath and he drowned there.he was only 19 years old.i reached there within 15 minutes of his disappearance and called police helpline.they answerd that the help is reaching there in 15 minutes but police team came after nearly 2 and half hour.if u hav ever visited that place u must would have noticed the danger lying there.so many incidents had occurred their in the past but their was neither any sign board nor any guards their.the help came very late only to fish out the dead body of my younger brother.besides it i should not write down but i have to that the way CO colonelganj mr r c vidyarthy behaved with us it was unbearable.divers were searching body of my brother and my whole family was wailing and his comment was kaise maa baap hai jo apne bachhe ko marne ke liye chhod dete hai.i lost my control and opposed then he ordered his constable....maaro saale ko.almighty was already so cruel but we never deserved this cruelty.that moment i decided to change this system and now am preparing for cse.i dont have any vengeance for that officer but whole system needs to be changed. after getting to know about yours profile i got more confident that i can do it.though i put a signboard at that dangerous site but more serious steps need to be taken to stop more deaths.few days ago one more boy of vssd college drowned their.plz sir see in this matter.

Once it was known to be a very good locality. Now the problems are plenty:-
1. The sewerage problem in the Colony has worsened over years. Even small rainfall results in water flowing into houses. Despite several complaints issue not addressed.
2. Earlier the colony use to have seperate electricity line. But from last few years the same colony line has been connected upto Hanspuram. Due to heavy load trips are frequent and even a small fault some where results in huge electricity cuts.

Reading of blog by Mr.Anjanesh Pratap Singh was heart rending and painful.And this made to write about it.Those gross remarks by Mr.Vdyarthi/CO to those unfortunate parents who already lost thier most precious thing, were just insane.This shows how these officers are indifferent to people's feeling/emotions.As this was not enough that officer tortured their other son,adding to their injuries.When such officers will grow up!!God knows?This is not just a tragedy but a disease with such officers.As soon they put uniform on they treat themselves above law and even tend to behave like pre-independence Britsh officials. Treating masses like cattle in a very obnoxius and disrespectful way.They will do every thing for polticains including regular chores.Hope new breed of young officers won't behave in such a rude way and will respect people as a individual/human being.

Bandhu and full support is being provided by him to such invitees, whereas it is told that only Chairman/ President/ General Sect of leading associations of kanpur are

meeting was 3 pm. we waited till 3.15 and then called thye conveyner of Vyapar Bandhu who at first disconnected the call and on second call told that the meeting was
cancelled. Sir we request yourgoodself to take adequate steps for resolving the problems of "Genuine Vyaparies".

The sewage system can be improved. Actually in Kanpur there is few locality where the sewage system is not good. The reason behind that is when previously these locality had planned that time drainage was established back side of the houses. But in current scenario when all plots are well constructed then cleaning of these sewage system is difficult. So, it is my request to change this system

today i would like to draw your kind attn towards heavy encroachment on the road side of bye pass highway ,newly generated transport companies are liable for this encroachment,& above all local police for providing them facility to turmoil the situation.the total uneffectiveness of polic can be seen right from ramadevi to barra byepass on all big crossings deployed police man are working like decoits in the uniform of police.this is too much.concern higher authorities should take immediate action against this practice.more then 100 lifes we have already lost on byepass since started.

After a few days I found that the seal as mentioned in the Metre sealing certificate does not arise I asked the contractors' employee Mr. Gupta (Cell # 9795487490) to get the Seal as mentioned but for reasons unknown he was giving me time and not doing the work.
If the seal is missing it is a serious offence and since as per the news KESCO is going on indefinate strike, hence this request to you.

I am a resident of Sharda nagar I wish to bring to your notice that the main sewage line at 120 feet road is blocked and entire sewage is flowing on the road.Due to overflow of sewage the road stretch is broken and there is possibility of spread of dengu and malaria.This state is since last few months and many efforts have been made for solving the problem with nagar mahapalika and Jal board officials at Zone VI. iRequest your intervention please

I grew up in Civil lines, not far from your residence. I now live in New york foyr last 40 years. Every time I come back home the roads around katcheri area are more and more congested. I suggest that you drive around katcheri area during week days (around 1PM) and on sunday. The area used to quiet and open. The road near my house is clogged by parking. I am told it is authorised by DM.
Please help in getting parking lot away from this roads so that cars can pass.

I would like to inform you that I am customer of Indane Gas(KANPUR GAS ALLIED AGENCY, THE MALL KANPUR) vide consumer No.16541 , I have booked the gas through telephone no. 2333240 on dated 15/12/2014 vide booking no.79 you told me that your gas will be dispatch with in 10 days, After 10 days I again phone to you and came to know that I have to wait about 2-3 days. Now till date 15 days past but I have not received the gas. I have suffered due to the same as you did not booked the gas before 22 days past and after booking the gas will received more than 10-15 days total 37 days and gas is consume with in 25 days. I have refill my gas on three times at open market but now till date the problem is same I have not received the Gas. It is therefore requested, kindly solve my problem and deliver the gas at earliest.

But when she went to school for releasing her salary the Director of the school Mr Kailash, insulted her and said that he will not giving her salary, whatever she does she can do i dont care.
